Conference Venue
The 73rd IFALPA Conference will be hosted in the European Conference Centre Luxembourg (ECCL), a brand-new complex designed as a venue for all manner of congresses, business meetings and events. The ECCL is located on Luxembourg’s Kirchberg plateau, which is home to a number of major European institutions, such as the European Court of Justice, offices of the European Commission, the European Investment Bank and the European Court of Auditors. During three months every year the ECCL becomes the meeting venue for the Council of the European Union. The ECCL is located in walking distance from the hotels available to accommodate the attendees of the 2018 IFALPA Conference and only a short 15 minute walk from Luxembourg’s historic city centre with its UNESCO heritage sites and the Grund with its many lively restaurants.
Before entering the ECCL conference all visitors and attendees of the conference will have to pass through security screening at the entrance of the ECCL. Screening consists of walk-through metal detectors and x-ray machines. Due to security reasons, while within the ECCL, conference attendees will have to wear their conference badge at all times.
